Stickers & Labels FAQ

Die cutting and kiss cutting are two methods used to cut stickers. Die cutting involves using a machine to cut out a specific shape from the sticker material. This allows for almost any shape to be cut. On the other hand, kiss cutting only partially cuts through the sticker material, leaving it attached to the backing sheet. This makes it easier to peel off the sticker from the backing paper and enables more complex shapes to be cut than with die cut.

Glossy laminate is a special finish that we apply to our stickers to give them a shiny and smooth texture, like a glossy waxed paint. We do this by adding a clear, glossy layer of laminate material to the surface of the sticker. This finish not only makes the stickers look cool, but it also adds extra Uv protection and water proof and dishwasher durability.

Matte laminate is another special finish that we apply to our stickers. Unlike our glossy laminate, this finish gives the stickers a flat, non-reflective surface, like a matte paint. This is achieved by adding a clear, matte layer of laminate material to the surface of the sticker. While the finish may not be as shiny, it adds a unique and professional look to the stickers. The matte laminate finish also provides extra protection and durability to the stickers, ensuring they last longer.

With proper application, you can enjoy your stickers/labels for years.

Our vinyl stickers are produced with a clear overlaminate film, this increases the overall quality of your product against scratches or abrasions and exposure to the elements including UV and water. And yes, you guessed it snow and cold.

Different materials allow for different grades of adhesion therefore when considering the placement of your sticker it is important to remain mindful of the surface material, for example, smooth metal, glass and plastics typically allow for good adhesion. Also, keep in mind the condition and cleanliness of the surface as well as the temperature of the item. If placing it on a surface that will be exposed to the exterior we recommend + 10° as the minimum application temperature. Once given a period to settle to the surface your sticker/label can withstand temperatures of up to -40°.

Pretty good!  Although they should peel off most smooth surfaces if needed, allowing for re positioning in case of an error on initial application, this is very handy when applying labels to bottles/containers, different materials have different grade of adhesion, as a rule of thumb, the smoother the surface, the better adhesion, plastics in general are by definition “low energy” materials, meaning that some plastics won’t allow the adhesive to bond properly as compared as smooth metals, not to mention that the cleanness of the substrate will play an important roll on the longevity of the stickers/labels.

Our vinyl stickers are covered with a clear overlaminate film to protect against scratches, abrasion and UV exposure, so they stand up pretty well for years when applied under the right conditions on the right substrate.

Yes we do! It generally takes 1-2 weeks to complete a standard logo design project. However, if you have complex requirements, it may stretch to a couple of weeks more. We will share the tentative project timeline with you before starting with the work.
